Microsoft uses Slack bar among employees, second site

According to a report from GeekWire, Redmond company cites security risks to prohibit use of the platform.

Microsoft does not allow its employees to use the Slack corporate communications platform, according to information from the GeekWire website.

Although the Redmond company owns a direct competitor to Slack, called Microsoft Teams, that would not be the reason for the internal ban on the app in question.

This is because, according to the report cited above, Microsoft cites possible security risks as the reason for banning Slack among its professionals.

In addition to barring Slack Free, Standard and Plus versions, GeekWire points out, Microsoft also discourages employees from using platforms like Google Docs and Amazon Web Services.
